It's Friday night- Jonny is at a friends house, Kahlan is sleeping, Gratton is watching Minecraft videos on youtube, David is on his computer, and I'm on my computer listening to a lecture. I start to hear what I think is Gratton singing, so I turn off the lecture. Sure enough,Gratton is sweetly singing to the Skyrim Dragonborne song (he switched videos), and David and I both mouth to each other how cute his singing is... Kids are awesome, and we love being parents!

We went to visit Davids grandpa last weekend, and we had a blast! When we got there, it was pretty late. But we stayed up and talked a little. Gratton and I went to bed, and David and his grandpa stayed up watching the Giants game. The next morning we had oatmeal for breakfast. Davids grandpa kept insisting that I add more half and half to it. It made it creamier, but then I kept having to add more sugar. He's a funny guy. Then we went out to a spot where we could feed these huge trout! It was only a quarter for a huge handful of food. It was awesome. Gratton liked throwing the food. He only got it out to the fish once, but he thought every throw landed in the water, and that's all that matters really! Then he got bored of the fish and wanted to figure out how the food machine worked. People would come use the machine, and he would show them how it worked. Or how he thought it worked! Minnesota Monday 2016, updated July 10, 2022

We got to Minnesota safe and sound! We got to our hotel and were able to get 4 hours of sleep before leaving for the hospital. We're in the taxi right now. We got a great deal on a hotel, and I slept like a rock. David had a hard time getting sleep, but hopefully he'll sleep better tonight. Update on July 10. 2021- they only did the endoscopic ultrasound (EUC), no ERCP. After this happened, it was just one more letdown and I went back for another 5 years of pain before I finally got an ERCP in May 2021. There was a stone in the duct and it was removed. The gi Dr said over and over to our faces that there was no stone. The records he sent to insurance show otherwise though. Who knew Dr's can straight lie to you?

Finally a diagnosis...

So finally my new Dr has found a cause for all my nausea and pain. I went in on Tuesday for a nuclear imaging test. It started at 7am and finished at 11:30. Basically they fed me an egg sandwich with radioactive isotopes in it. Then they took scans at different time intervals, which tracked the isotopes progress through my stomach and intestines. What they found is that my stomach isn't emptying at a normal rate, it is delayed. I guess it's called gastroparesis. It's chronic and not curable... Just what I wanted to hear... Not. So my doctor prescribed a drug- Reglan- which is supposed to help stimulate the stomach muscles. Unfortunately it can also cause some issues. This is what the website says-" Treatment with metoclopramide(Reglan) can cause tardive dyskinesia, a serious movement disorder that is often irreversible.
